Welcome to Silver Surfer's Seventy, our newly redesigned website for the older person. We are teachers of computer skills in the UK, most of our students are over seventy years of age. We understand how overwhelming the Internet can be if you haven't grown up with it

We know there are many older people grappling with their own computer, aware that nowadays the Internet is becoming necessary to get things done.  Picking up the phone is no longer as simple as it was, and perhaps you are  becoming less mobile than  you were.  We saw a need for an easy-to-use website to encourage the older person to tackle the internet.  That's why we have put this site together.

We've  collected over seventy tried and trusted sites for people mostly  based in the United Kingdom, although a few sites are from outside the UK. We've chosen all the sites because they are practical. helpful and generally of interest to the more mature  person.  Our teacups rating system and brief descriptions give you an idea of how simple or complex each site is.  All you have to do is click on any of the links on each of the following pages and you will be taken straight to the website we've chosen. The websites we've chosen are, wherever possible, free to access and may be familiar organisations or companies.  We are not being paid to promote any of these websites.
